Bernd Leno is expected to avoid additional disciplinary action from the Football Association following a confrontation with a ball boy during Fulham’s defeat at Bournemouth.

In the second half, goalkeeper Leno made contact with the child, touching rather than shoving him, according to manager Marco Silva.

Leno had already been booked but received no more punishment from referee Tim Robinson.

The only action taken was the removal of the ball boys from around the pitch and the termination of the multi-ball protocol for the game’s final moments.

With instances like the one Leno was at the center of being handled by match officials, he is positioned to avoid any retrospective penalty.
