Kyogo thinks other Premiership sides have improved their defensive organization, which is why Celtic’s form has taken a slight fall this season.

The Hoops forward experienced a difficult period earlier in the season when he went an unusual seven games without scoring for his team. Pundits questioned the prolific hitman’s form, with some even speculating that manager Brendan Rodgers’ alterations may have contributed to the Japanese ace’s inability to find the back of the net.

However, Kyogo revealed in a magazine essay published in his own country that his team faltered in matches against Kilmarnock and Hearts as a result of the Scottish opposition strengthening their defense of the champs.

According to the attacker, some people have figured out how Aaron Rodgers and his team want to play and have responded appropriately.

“At the beginning of the season, our attacking play was working well as a team, but now the opposing teams have taken better measures,” he stated.

“We had to attempt to dismantle teams in front of their goal, but as a result, we gave up a lot of goals through set plays and counterattacks. In a case like this, how can you penetrate the opposition’s defense?

“This has always been an issue at Celtic, but now it has emerged as an even bigger problem this season.”
