Newcastle may be forced to sell one of their crown jewels in order to fund summer signings.

Since their Saudi Arabia takeover, the Magpies have been extremely cautious not to violate Financial Fair Play [FFP] rules and invite unwanted scrutiny.

Guimaraes is a key player for Newcastle and a fan favorite, and fans will not want to lose him.
Not only will this make it difficult for manager Eddie Howe to replenish his injury-plagued squad during this transfer window, with Newcastle United primarily scouring the loan market for reinforcements, but it also means they may face a major decision at the end of the season.

The club’s most sellable assets at St James’ Park are midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, who has a £100 million release clause in his contract, defender Sven Botman, and striker Alexander Isak, and none would be short of suitors not only in the Premier League but also among Europe’s elite clubs.

Newcastle may have to follow Aston Villa’s lead and cash in on Jack Grealish to fund the squad rebuild that has turned Unai Emery’s men into surprise title contenders.

Strike while the Iron’s high-flying West Ham United are interested in Wolves captain Max Kilman.

Manager David Moyes has long admired Kilman, 26, who was on the Hammers’ radar when they received their £105 million Declan Rice windfall in the summer.

Kilman only signed a new five-year contract at Molineux in August, after Wolves turned down a £30 million bid from Italian champions Napoli.

Wolves do not expect to sell star center-back Kilman this month, but they are still subject to strict financial constraints in order to comply with Premier League Profit and Sustainability rules.

Kilman joined Wolves from non-league Maidenhead and has played 109 league games for the club.

During the January transfer window, Kilman is once again on West Ham’s radar.

Arnaut Danjuma’s season-long loan spell at Everton is set to be cut short after only five months due to frustration.

Danjuma has made three Premier League starts since joining Everton from Villarreal in the summer.

Danjuma had previously pulled out of a move to Goodison Park around this time last year after Tottenham hijacked the transfer at the eleventh hour.

According to talkSPORT, Lyon is one of several European clubs monitoring Danjuma’s situation, but any move away is likely to be contingent on Everton finding a suitable replacement.

Danjuma has two goals this season for Everton.

Crystal Palace have had multiple bids for sought-after Peterborough centre-back Ronnie Edwards turned down by the League One club. Danjuma has scored two goals for Everton this season.

Palace is one of five Premier League clubs interested in signing Edwards, 20, who is regarded as one of the best young defenders in English football, as well as teams in Belgium and Germany.

It was expected that England Under-20 international Edwards would be sold this month, but that will only happen if Peterborough receive a bid that matches their valuation, which is thought to be around the same as the £10 million plus add-ons Brentford paid for Ivan Toney.
