England tighthead Will Stuart has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at Bath until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Midway through his fifth season at The Rec following his 2019 signing from Wasps, the prop is currently part of Steve Borthwick’s Test squad in Girona preparing of the February 3 start to the Guinness Six Nations away to Italy in Rome.
A statement read: “Will Stuart has signed a new contract with Bath Rugby, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2026. The England international joined the Bath from Wasps in 2019 and has made 71 appearances.
“The 27-year-old prop’s current contract was due to expire at the end of the season but he has now put pen to paper on a two-year extension. Stuart has won 33 caps for England and helped the national team finish third at last year’s 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.”
Stuart said: “I am really happy to be committing my future to the club for the next two years. Bath has become my home and being surrounded by such a brilliant group of players, coaches, and support staff is what makes being here so special.
“We are at a stage where I believe the best is yet to come and that’s something I want to be a part of.”
Head of rugby Johann van Graan added: “We are blessed to have brilliant tightheads at Bath. I am so glad Will will be staying at Bath.
“He is an international prop and he has formed such a good combination inside and outside of him. We are developing world-class props here at Bath and Will is a big part of our future.”
