Daniel Farke provides an injury report prior to Leeds United’s trip to Rotherham.

Daniel Farke addressed Wilfried Gnonto and Jamie Shackleton’s injuries at the Plymouth Argyle vs. Leeds United news conference following the game.

Wilfried Gnonto may not have a problem scoring when his confidence with Leeds United is growing following his goals on Friday and Tuesday. The fact that he had been struck on the foot before to scoring enhanced the already outstanding Plymouth Argyle opening.

At Home Park, the 20-year-old broke the stalemate with his second goal in four days, although he seemed to be tending to one of his foot after the game. Five minutes after scoring in Bristol and Devon, Gnonto—one of the six players starting—was replaced.

In his news conference following the game, Daniel Farke sought to assuage any worries over the Italy international. The German is optimistic that he will be able to play in Saturday’s match against Rotherham United despite the setback.

“Even though there was a slight hit on his foot prior to the goal, he still managed a clean and precise finish,” stated Farke. “Just a small bruise, nothing serious, should be fine for Saturday.”

Apart from the players with medium- and long-term injuries (Stuart Dallas, Pascal Struijk, Karl Darlow, and Daniel James), the other player absent from Tuesday’s victory was Jamie Shackleton. Due to sickness, Farke deemed the 24-year-old a serious doubt on Monday, and his prognosis did not get better over night.
