Jon Feliciano, an offensive lineman for the San Francisco 49ers, is claiming on Twitter that Jalen Carter, a defensive lineman for the Philadelphia Eagles, threatened to “murder my and my kids” during a December 2023 regular-season game between the two. The NFL is reportedly looking into this “beef.”
Feliciano quarreled on social media on Tuesday afternoon over whose teammate in Sunday’s Super Bowl defeat in overtime to Kansas City had failed to block a shot. When Spencer Buford, a teammate, saw that he had identified himself, Feliciano apologized and said he was drunk.
Carter jumped into the controversy on social media, saying that Feliciano “spoke on” his deceased former Georgia teammate Devin Willock, who passed away tragically in a vehicle crash in January 2023- an event in which Carter took part. Chandler LeCroy, a Georgia employee, perished in the collision as well.
He acknowledged talking about Willock, and Feliciano said that he was responding to Carter for supposedly threatening to murder him.
“After receiving a flag, the guy threatened to kill me three times and said my kids would never see me again because I was making fun of him. I told you that I thought you had a body. Then he kept messaging my friends and uploading pictures of my family for weeks.
Feliciano shared a screenshot allegedly showing Carter tagging him in a photo of the 31-year-old 49ers player and his children on Instagram. He said that he has informed the NFL about the situation.
