To prevent summer exits, a key player confirms contract negotiations with three Fulham players.
Kenny Tete, Bobby De Cordova-Reid, and Tosin Adarabioyo would all like to remain at Craven Cottage, according to Silva.
Manager Marco Silva disclosed that Fulham and Tosin Adarabioyo, Bobby De Cordova-Reid, and Kenny Tete are in negotiations to sign new contracts.
center-back Adarabioyo, who has an expiring contract this summer, has been pursued by teams including Liverpool, Tottenham, AC Milan, and Napoli in recent months. As Standard Sport reported in January, he has already turned down at least one offer of a new contract.
The 31-year-old forward De Cordova-Reid is also scheduled to become a free agent this summer, however the team still has the option to keep Tete in west London longer.
Silva stated on Friday, “Three different things [situations], or two that are different,” in reference to the trio that is now scheduled to go in the summer.
We have an option under Kenny’s contract. His agent and I continue to communicate, but we have the choice to initiate it whenever we’d want.
Compared to the other two, who have their contracts expiring, it is a different circumstance. We are communicating with them and their representatives, that much is true, and I can tell you that right now.
We make an effort to keep them close to us. Our goal is to have them back with us for the upcoming season.
On Saturday, Fulham and Wolves will square off at Molineux, matching up two of the Premier League’s most acclaimed managers who don’t play for the conventional “Big Six” clubs: Silva and Gary O’Neil.
