Star All Blacks wing According to fresh rumors, Sevu Reece  is extremely close to signing with Montpellier in France when his NZ Rugby Union contract expires at the end of the current campaign.

According to Rugbypass, Reece may sign a contract with Montpellier.

Reece was unable to participate in the World Cup last year due to a serious knee injury that required surgery. But earlier in the year, he did make a stunning return to the Crusaders, scoring three tries in their opening two Super Rugby Pacific games.
Reece is a player that any team would be lucky to have on their roster. He is one of the most deadly finishers in the world, with 23 caps, 15 tries, and 49 touchdowns in 62 Crusaders games.

Reece and Montpellier are reportedly engaged in advanced talks.

Reece would no longer be eligible to be selected for the All Blacks under the existing regulations if he moved to France.
Reece gave himself every chance to bounce back from his injury and is off to a fantastic start in the Super Rugby season.

Reece stated, “If anything, I’ll be even better,” according to Stuff.

I’m far ahead of much of what I should be doing right now, thanks to the manner I’ve been training and my recuperation period. I recently ran at my peak pace, which is the speed I often play games at.

“I’ve seen guys go insane when they return, and I’ve heard of others who don’t pick up where they left off in their performances. The key to all of those things is how badly you want it and how much you want to prove to them that you are still alive. I have no doubts whatsoever that I will return.

Montpellier is looking for x-factor outside backs since they were unable to recruit Huw Jones.
