QPR get boost for Premier League coup as Leeds United rival Wolves for £7m familiar face

QPR suffered a new blow to their survival fight as Marti Cifuentes’ side were beaten 2-0 at Loftus Road by Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon.

The defeat comes after a four-game unbeaten run and a series of impressive performances and leaves the Rs just one point above the relegation zone with nine fixtures left to play.

QPR star sent message by Newcastle United

QPR have been handed a boost in any permanent pursuit of Newcastle United star Isaac Hayden this summer. Local Tyneside outlet The Chronicle has reported that the Premier League club have informed the midfielder that he has ‘no future’ at the side.

The 28-year-old joined the Rs on loan in January, having had his time at Standard Liege during the first half of the campaign cut short after an underwhelming start. Since his arrival at Loftus Road, Hayden has appeared in every Championship outing and started six of the fixtures as QPR look to lead a survival fight.

Hayden has been praised by boss Marti Cifuentes and, if he is part of the Catalonian’s long-term plans, that could be a realistic transfer deal this summer. The Chronicle adds that Hayden is currently on a £50,000 per-week deal and is contracted at St James’ Park until 2026.
