The feature piece of the Bromley Council e-newsletter, Our Bromley, is the open letter that follows.
Easter is already approaching; how quickly does time fly?
The newest issue of “Our Bromley” and the stories below should have given you an idea of how busy and incredibly successful the Civic Center’s start to the year has been.
In addition to the prior positive announcement of Bromley’s Children’s Services receiving an Outstanding Ofsted verdict and the affirmation that we continue to lead the Capital in recycling, two highly esteemed national accolades have been added in recent weeks.
A gold medal for outstanding performanc
of the Council’s Tackling Loneliness team and a silver award for “Collaborating” with the Borough’s health professionals on Bromley’s Homeless Health Project. That is quite the accomplishment, and everybody concerned should be very proud of themselves for reaching it, especially in addition to the bronze designation we received for our developing local support of the Armed Forces Covenant.
This is especially true in light of the severe financial difficulties that the local government sector is presently facing. Keeping these programs going is now the task!
In preparation for the Easter holiday, if you want to use the rubbish and recycling centers at Waldo Road or Churchfields, please remember to use the Council’s webcams to check in advance. Both do become quite busy around this time of year.
