Without Derrick White, Kristaps Porzingis, and Jaylen Brown, Boston got to work, but this was nothing new for the Celtics. That was undoubtedly the main problem, Keefe told reporters following Boston’s 130-104 victory against Washington on the road. “They made threes, which increased the lead.” We struggled to score during that span, but those players’ open looks turned the tide of the match.
Tatum and Hauser combined for 46 points at halftime, giving the Celtics an 81-53 lead against the Wizards. Hauser’s seven three-pointers in the first half of the game set a new franchise record.
