Southampton aiming for premier league status
Russell Martin’s Southampton team still has a strong chance of advancing at the conclusion of the season, even if they haven’t been able to stay up with the top three teams in the Championship this year. The Saints have a strong chance of making the playoffs.
With eight games remaining in the season, they are virtually guaranteed a berth in the play-off semi-finals as they are currently sitting 15 points ahead of seventh-placed Hull City in England’s second tier.

According to HITC, Southampton is one of the teams interested in signing former Celtic youth prodigy Karamoko Dembele.
He was always very promising going up through Celtic’s ranks, but his time in Glasgow was short-lived, and he sought to restart his career abroad. He appears to have discovered a perfect match for his skills in Blackpool and is starting to once again demonstrate his early potential.
With six goals and eleven assists from midfield this season, Dembele, who is still only 21 years old, has helped Blackpool contend for a play-off spot at the conclusion of the season.
