Nathan Jones, Charlton Athletic’s manager, has the opportunity to add additional players to his recently inherited roster this summer.
Charlton Athletic hired the former Luton Town manager to replace Michael Appleton, and he has subsequently performed admirably for the League One club.

The Addicks have lifted beyond the relegation zone and can now look forward to the next transfer window.

They were connected with Hull City midfielder Greg Docherty in January, along with fellow third-tier club Bristol Rovers, according to X writer Darren Witcoop, and should renew their interest in him at the conclusion of the season.

is set to become a free agent, as things stand.

The Scotsman is below the Tigers’ pecking order due to the presence of other good midfield alternatives such as Jean Michael Seri, Tyler Morton, and Regan Slater.

Docherty understands what it takes to move out of the third tier, having helped Hull win the title in his debut year in 2021 under former manager Grant McCann.

He joined East Yorkshire in 2020 and has since made 141 appearances in all competitions, 16 of which have occurred this season, scoring seven goals.

The Glasgow native progressed through the ranks at Hamilton Academical, breaking into the main squad before being signed by Rangers. He then played 19 games for the Gers, as well as loan stints with Shrewsbury Town and Hibernian to gain experience.
