The Cleveland Browns have signed former Utah standout quarterback Tyler Huntley, who previously spent four years with the division foe Baltimore Ravens.
Huntley played four seasons as one of the NFL’s best backup quarterbacks, accumulating 1,957 passing yards, 8 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions in 20 games while also running for 509 yards and 3 scores. He even received a Pro Bowl invitation in 2022.
The former Ute joins Deshaun Watson, Jameis Winston, and Dorian Thompson-Robinson in a crowded Browns quarterback room that will be fiercely competitive in training camp. Following Watson’s season-ending injury and the subsequent quarterback carousel, Browns GM Andrew Berry is prioritizing the position leading into the 2024 season while the team’s championship window still open.
“Snoop” should have a solid chance of making the 53-man roster for the season and may perhaps fight with Winston for the QB2 slot on what is undoubtedly (on paper) the greatest club in football’s finest division.
