The EFL has announced the dates for the Championship, League One, and League Two play-offs. The league has also announced a change in kick-off timings across divisions for the final day of the season, which will affect all London teams, including QPR, Charlton Athletic, and Millwall.

Watford and Leyton Orient have similarly revised their season-ending kick-off times. All Championship matches on Saturday, May 4 will now start at 12:30, as will all League One matches on Saturday, April 27. The announcement came via an official EFL statement, which sparked outrage Among football enthusiasts.

“Not even a hint of consideration for fans as per,” one social media user said on X. Another person said, “As usual, you guys are very considerate!”

The EFL has confirmed end of season arrangements.

QPR will travel to Coventry City on the last day of the season as Marti Cifuentes attempts to maintain his club in the second division next season. Neil Harris has a similar aim, taking Millwall up the M4 to Swansea City to finish the season. Watford are also on the road, with a long trip to Middlesbrough, with Hornets supporters being particularly affected by the early kick-off time.

A QPR statement read: “QPR’s final-day Sky Bet Championship encounter against Coventry City will now start at 12.30pm BST, in line with the rest of the division. The fixture date stays unaltered.

Martí Cifuentes’ R’s will play at CBS Arena on Saturday, May 4, 2024. The game was scheduled to start at 3 p.m. Ticket information will be available in due course.

On the last day of League One, Charlton Athletic go to Wycombe Wanderers, while Leyton Orient visit Shrewsbury Town.

None of the London clubs in the Championship or League One appear to be in contention for the play-offs, with the Os the most likely to travel to Wembley Stadium. The Championship Play-Off Final will take place on Sunday, May 26, while the League One Play-Off Final will be contested on Saturday, May 18.
