Jimmy Shan, the former Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield Town coach, has joined Swindon Town as an assistant first-team coach.
The 45-year-old had worked with Darren Moore at West Bromwich Albion, and they reconnected when Moore took Shan to Hillsborough and the John Smith’s Stadium.
Shan, however, did not play for Moore’s squad at Port Vale and has since been signed by League Two club Swindon. He will work with former Rotherham United defender Gavin Gunning, who is now the temporary head coach at the County Ground.

Shan stated, “I joined just over a week ago, so I’m still adjusting to my new surroundings, but I’m thrilled to be on board. The guys seem like a great bunch, so I’m looking forward to getting started here.”
Swindon’s head of football, Jamie Russell, added: “We’ve brought him in because he’s worked in the EFL, and he’ll provide assistance and direction to Gavin for the final few matches of the 2023/24 season.
“Alongside that, he brings a wealth of experience from academy and higher-level first-team environments and he knows the level, understands the level and knows what is required.”
Shan is expected to be in the dugout for Swindon’s Good Friday meeting with Notts County, who are 14th in League Two.
