On Monday, the Kansas City Chiefs re-signed veteran tailback Clyde Edwards-Helaire, bringing back another old face.

Edwards-Helaire, who was selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the 32nd overall choice, has amassed 1,845 running yards and 12 touchdowns in 48 games (32 starts) throughout the previous four seasons. During that time, he has also caught 89 passes for 765 yards and seven touchdowns.

Report: Chiefs re-sign Edwards-Helaire to 1-year deal

Last season, Edwards-Helaire played in a career-high 15 games and totaled 87 touches for 411 yards and two touchdowns. In Week 15, against New England, he recorded 101 yards from scrimmage (37 running, 64 receiving) and a touchdown, which was his best performance of the year.

Now that he is back in Kansas City, the 24-year-old tailback is helping the Chiefs try to win a third straight world title.
