Samuel L. Jackson criticized ESPN’s coverage of the women’s NCAA Championship game on social media, saying it was of low quality.

The seasoned actor watched the eagerly awaited game between the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Iowa Hawkeyes, much like millions of other fans. However, the 75-year-old objected to ESPN’s decision to include podcast hosts Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi, who provided a different viewpoint from the ABC presenting crew.

Who the fuck believed that this podcast commentary was a good idea?!! @ESPN I had no idea that I need an ABC feed until now. Jackson scribbled during the match on X.

Subsequently, Jackson appeared to favor the ABC show hosted by Holly Rowe, Rebecca Lobo, and Ryan Ruocco.

But little than half an hour after sending out his first tweet, Jackson was back on social media.

He wrote on X, “It’s okay to talk about the winning team, too!”

The U.S. Sun said that while basketball fans were anticipating the Gamecocks’ trophy presentation after their 87-75 victory over the Hawkeyes, they were disappointed when the ABC broadcast unexpectedly went to a commercial break just as the all-star panel was about to review the game.

Iowa had lost for the previous two years running until the victory.

All eyes were on Caitlin Clark, the outstanding player for the Hawkeyes, who has improved the women’s game and become an NCAA record book contributor over the last two years.

She claimed she didn’t lose sight of the experiences she had picked up along the road, even though her home state didn’t win the title.

“This year has undoubtedly been exceptional,” Clark remarked. “I’ll be honest; following the previous year, I was a little concerned about how we could improve on our performance. Every single person in our locker room believed, somehow, somehow. This year was definitely more amazing than previous year, to be honest.”
