During the January transfer window, Hull City made some incredible acquisitions to strengthen their position in the Championship play-offs.
During the winter, Hull City was one of the busiest teams in the league. Ivor Pandur and Abdulkadir Omur both had cash fees paid, although Billy Sharp signed a free transfer.
Fabio Carvalho, Anass Zaroury, Ryan Giles, and Noah Ohio all had notable loan transfers made.
But there were other names on the list, including Chris Willock, the winger for QPR.
The 26-year-old scored twice and provided an assist in a 2-0 victory over the Tigers in December. Though Hull had him on their radar and Zaroury signed, there was uncertainty about his future because the club was said to be open to late bids.
Hull City might fare far worse than resuming their interest while Willock’s contract situation remains uncertain.

Willock could end up being a great free transfer acquisition if he can return to his best level at his next team. He would also close a hole in Liam Rosenior’s squad for Hull City.
Since Carvalho, the star player for Liverpool, and winger Zaroury are only on loan, the MKM Stadium will need to acquire more attackers. Although Hull doesn’t have a lot of money, wise business decisions should always be made. Signing Willock on a free transfer would fill a hole in the team and bring in a player who, on his best day, can be a true star at this level.
How his QPR issue plays out will have to wait, but Willock ought to return to Hull City’s attention shortly.
