Ever since Steph Curry came into the picture, the Golden State Warriors have trounced their opponents.
Over the last ten years, they have been among the NBA’s top teams, demonstrating the positive impact that a single superstar player can have on a squad.
Curry has guided the group to tremendous success in the past, but their most recent outings have been disappointing.
Though they are a play-in team, the Warriors may theoretically make another run to the NBA Finals, but that would be difficult.
In a recent episode of his show, Craig Carton talked about the Warriors’ present situation and attempted to pinpoint the reasons why they haven’t been successful this season.
“Steve Kerr doesn’t coach,” said Carton. He does nothing except sit there.
Carton thinks that a lot of the Warriors’ issues are related to Kerr, and that the Warriors’ present situation may be due in part to his coaching approach.
Without Kerr performing a decent coaching job, this team’s potential is, at least in Carton’s opinion, limited.
The West has become better over the last season, with clubs like the Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklahoma City Thunder, and the Los Angeles Clippers all taking a major stride forward.
Ageing clubs like the Warriors have found it challenging to compete as a result, particularly if they have a coaching disadvantage.
The spectators will get to witness how it all unfolds when the playoffs arrive in a little while.
