Despite rumors that former Leeds manager Massimo Cellino is considering a bid for the League One team, Charlton Athletic’s owners have no intention of selling.

Owner of Serie B team Brescia, Cellino is reportedly considering selling, with the Addicks reportedly on his radar as his next acquisition, according to at least one Italian media outlet.

Born in Sardinia At the beginning of 2017, Cellino sold fellow Italian billionaire Andrea Radrizzani 50% of his initial ownership position in Leeds. In July, Radrizzani purchased the remaining 50%. “If you can survive working with me, you can survive anything,” Cellino said in a farewell post on social media.

In July, Charlton was purchased by Global Football Partners from Thomas Sandgaard.

“Charlton Athletic is a fantastic club and will always attract interest from players, managers, and even people who might want to own the club,” GFP’s Charlie Methven told the South London Press.

“Global Football Partners, the club’s ownership group, is incredibly delighted and proud to be its owners, and we have no intention of ever selling the team.

As such, we take note of the rumors with a wry grin and, while we are appreciative of any interest that may be expressed to us or that may be conjectured upon, we are just delighted and glad to remain Charlton Athletic’s caretakers for the foreseeable future.
