The manager of Bantams is thrilled that another new window signer is making a good impression on him.
GRHAM Calum Kavanagh, according to Alexander, is offering City more than simply goals.
The 20-year-old striker, who joined from Middlesbrough on deadline day, has four goals in eight league starts.
Kavanagh is sure he can keep finding the net as he makes a name for himself in League Two.
However, Alexander believes that the mid-season window addition is already leaving an impact with his versatility.
The City manager remarked, “What we like about him is that he still contributes even if he’s not scoring.”
All of our players, but especially the attackers, must do it. Even when you don’t score, you can still contribute to the squad in other ways, and Kav has done just that.
On Saturday, he fired six times, and five of them found the mark. In any game, that is an excellent ratio for a striker.
“He has the instinct and skill to keep running in the direction of the objective.
“It doesn’t matter if he was a part of the link-up play before it; he will always want to return to scoring zones.
“We have certainly benefited from his goal return, but we also value his work ethic and contributions.
“He’s still quite effective even if he doesn’t score.
“We think he has a lot more in store for us. Both he and us are capable of improving him.
However, I believe that he has had a great start to his Bradford City career.
In the comeback at Salford, the Republic of Ireland under-21 international scored his equalizer, adding to his goals scored at home against Tranmere, Sutton, and MK Dons.
In the four games that Kavanagh has scored a goal, City has prevailed.
