QB Aidan O’Connell of Raiders send 3 words message to RB Zamir potential.
Running back Zamir White of the Las Vegas Raiders has great things ahead of him in 2024, according to quarterback Aidan O’Connell.
This offseason, there was a significant backfield overhaul for the Las Vegas Raiders.
When Week 1 arrives, Josh Jacobs won’t be carrying the rock for the Silver and Black anymore. As the Raiders’ primary running back during the previous five seasons, he amassed over 5,500 yards and 46 touchdowns through his running career.
Jacobs inked a four-year, $48 million deal with the Green Bay Packers during the free agency season. It’s time for Las Vegas to host another RB1.
Zamir White, a third-year back, will probably take on that duty. When Jacobs got hurt at the conclusion of the 2023 season, White saw a lot of lengthy snaps. In those games, he performed admirably, scoring more than 100 yards in the passing thrice.
If White is selected as the starting quarterback, he may be receiving handoffs from Aidan O’Connell for the most of the season. Two young players on this Raiders team, O’Connell and White, are trying to seize their chance.
O’Connell believes that White will have a successful forthcoming season.
“Yes, I believe Z, we were really excited about the entire year from the preseason on,” O’Connell said to the journalists on Monday. “We had no doubts about his potential as a great player. It goes without saying that we will miss JJ since he was a fantastic man and player. But Zamir made the most of his chances, particularly in the Christmas Day encounter against the Chiefs. He speaks softly, but gosh, does he put in a lot of work. doing things the hard, proper way. And with a complete summer and unquestionably a head of steam and momentum, it will be really fascinating to watch what he can accomplish this year.”
White increased his total of 17 carries for 70 yards to 104 carries for 451 yards and a score in his second season in the league. Now that he is the official number one running back for the Raiders, carries and total output should rise even more.
Luke Getsy was brought in by the Raiders to assume the role of offensive coordinator. Getsy’s skill in planning ahead is his strongest suit as a play-caller. White ought to have a successful season with a plan that works for him.
O’Connell may get a front-row seat to White’s breakthrough season, should he be designated the starter.
The NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25–27, 2024, in Detroit, Michigan. With the 13th overall pick right now, it belongs to the Las Vegas Raiders.
