Instagram users are celebrating Joe Hart’s huge Celtic Day as goalie Liel Abada confirms his official retirement date.

Joe Hart, the goalkeeper for Celtic, has now been informed that the Scottish Cup Final on May 25th will be his last football match as a professional.

Hart declared in February that he will retire at the conclusion of this season, although it was unclear if he meant to retire in the season’s last Scottish Premiership game or the historic May final.

Hart’s performance in today’s thrilling penalty shootout victory against Aberdeen in the semi-final ensures that, if he continues to be injury-free and productive, the seasoned goalie will say his final goodbyes at Hampden.

The Celtic goalie saved many times in the 3-3 draw that resulted in penalties. He then took and missed his own penalty kick and stopped Killian Phillips’ attempt to go to the championship game, where Hearts or Rangers would face off.

Former Bhoy Liel Abada commented on Hart’s “May 25th” post on Instagram with the words “The best!”, obviously enjoying his exploits while watching from the United States.

Joe Hart was usually the fifth Celtic penalty liner.

Hart was always going to take the fifth Celtic penalty in today’s shootout, according to Brendan Rodgers. The Celtics manager said that this week in Lennoxtown, work was done on it.

At a press conference held by PLZ Soccer following the game, he said, “We looked at penalties during the week and Joe was always designated to take the fifth.” However, his mindset enables him to ignore it, and the outcome was evident. Even though he missed one, he emerged victorious.

Joe has spent a lot of time working on the mental aspect of things. He’s a really cheerful, optimistic character. You have to let him go if he displays the confidence and the ability to handle them. Perhaps a little more practice beforehand for the next time.

If the Bhoys’ championship game next month again ends in a shootout, it would be quite the sight to watch Hart line up and take another penalty for the team. There would be an unprecedented level of drama.

Hart’s retirement tour is starting to take on a theatrical quality, and if he can win two trophies in his final six games, his illustrious career will come to an appropriate and ideal conclusion.
