Top Player Reacts to the Bengals’ Round 3 selections of McKinnley Jackson and Jermaine Burton

The Cincinnati Bengals have finished their third round NFL Draft selection.

With two choices, the Bengals selected Texas A&M defensive lineman McKinnley Jackson to return to the trenches and Jermaine Burton of the University of Alabama.

Here’s how the Burton selection was received on Twitter:

“Felt really really comfortable with these guys and specifically about Jermaine,” Taylor stated. “The cassette sticks out to you. We adore the cassette and enjoyed getting to know the author. We are incredibly pleased with the selection.”

Taylor said that they discussed the event.

“We did our research on all these guys that we’ve talked to and made sure we’re aware of every incident they’ve been a part of,” Taylor stated. “There’s certainly maturity things that come with some of these guys coming out of these colleges and that’s one of the things he’ll continue to grow with.”

After his pick, Burton spoke with the media about it.

Burton remarked, “I had to move past it in order to move forward.” There was a lot at stake in this intensely emotional and passionate game. In circumstances like those, I have truly learnt. The same thing happened when we played LSU (two weeks later), and I was among the first players in the locker room. I immediately realized there was more at risk and distanced myself.

As offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher gets thrilled about having another option at his disposal, Burton has the talent to probably be a top-60 player in this selection.

“He’s a legitimate take-the-top-off deep threat and to Zac’s point, that’s not all he does,” Pitcher said. “Over the center of the field, he poses a menace. He finishes on the football in tight circumstances and separates on sudden braking routes. As I already stated, we’ll mix and match those people, which will be entertaining because it will lead to mismatches, and he’ll be a valuable player for us.”
