Duke Basketball: Top Sharpshooter No Longer Scheduled for Trip to Durham.

The defending champions appear to be the obvious favorite for Duke basketball transfer target Koby Brea.

Former four-year Dayton guard Koby Brea, a two-time Atlantic 10 Sixth Man of the Year and the NCAA’s 2023-24 leader in 3-point percentage at 49.8 on 201 attempts, was scheduled to arrive in Durham on Tuesday for a three-day Duke basketball visit, college hoops insider Adam Zagoria reported on Friday.

However, in this new transfer age, plans are frequently ripped apart in an instant during the peak of portal season. A frontrunner will rapidly emerge with exactly what the transfer is looking for, resulting in a visit and subsequent commitment.

On that front, defending national champion UConn looks to be the clear leader for the 21-year-old Brea, who came in Storrs on Friday for a visit with Huskies head coach Dan Hurley and his team that will go until Sunday.

And, as The News & Observer’s Steve Wiseman first reported on Friday afternoon, Brea’s previously planned visit to Duke is no longer on her itinerary.
