Moore, a very experienced player, began his career in the Premier League with Leicester before moving on to Reading and Stoke City in the Championship. He spent time in Yorkshire during the 2011/12 season, joining Bradford on loan from Leicester.

The defender made 22 appearances for the Bantams, playing under both Peter Jackson and Phil Parkinson.

In February, he signed a short-term contract with Northampton, which would last until the conclusion of the season. Moore, who has made eight League One appearances, will not be retained by the Cobblers for the 2024/25 season.

Moore was released alongside colleagues Peter Abimbola, Dominic Gape, Ryan Haynes, and Danny Hylton. Northampton manager Jon Brady said: “First and foremost, on behalf of everyone at the club, we’d like to thank the players who are leaving us this summer for their efforts.”

“They have all contributed to our advancement over the previous several seasons, and we wish them all the best for the future. We have made contract offers to several players, and we will see what happens during the summer.

Moore will now be available as a free agent, and at only 31, he might be an intriguing choice for EFL clubs wanting to add pedigree to their roster.

Moore not only has extensive EFL experience, but he also has senior caps for Jamaica, having switched allegiance from England in 2021.
