BREAKING: Buffalo Bills Sign Pittsburgh Steelers Controversial Top Star WR To Help Josh Allen In 2024.

When the Buffalo Bills moved Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans this summer, many fans assumed the age of the diva wide receiver had come to an end. However, the team recently added a wide receiver with an unusual past after being traded by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Bills needed wide receiver depth after dealing Diggs and allowing Gave Davis leave for the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency. With the 33rd choice in the draft, they selected Keon Coleman to provide quarterback Josh Allen with a target for the next season.
The Buffalo Bills have signed Chase Claypool.

NFL Analyst Trolls Former Steelers WR Chase Claypool

Claypool, 6-4, 238 pounds, is a big-bodied receiver who has over 2,000 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns since joining the league. The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Claypool in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and his four touchdown performance in Week 5 established a team record.

He concluded the 2020 season with 873 yards (fourth among rookies) and nine touchdowns (first among rookies).

Claypool has previously played for the Steelers (2020-2022), Bears (2022-23), and Dolphins (2023).

The Steelers previously traded Claypool to the Bears for a 2023 second-round selection during the 2022 season, when Claypool was seen as a rising talent in the league. However, he struggled in Chicago, amassing only 118 catches for 191 yards and one score in ten games.

Last season, the Bears advised Claypool to stay home for a game a few days after he complained that they had not put him in a position to thrive in their scheme. The Bears ended up dealing Claypool to the Miami Dolphins for pennies. Claypool would catch four passes for 26 yards in nine games with the Dolphins.

According to an NBC Sports article from October, Claypool had multiple heated interactions with teammates and coaches. He was often frustrated while at the Bears.

Claypool, a former second-round choice, is a gifted athlete. He’ll have the opportunity to rebuild his career in Buffalo. After all, the Bills have dealt with wide receivers who bring a certain kind of enthusiasm to the game.
