JAKE Leahy has signed his first professional deal with the club.
The left-back, 18, started the season with QPR’s Under-18s and has since been a fixture in our Development Squad.
Jake joined Rangers at the age of 12 and, after signing professional terms for the first time, told www.qpr.co.uk: “I’m over the moon.
“I’ve worked so hard for this moment, and I’m quite proud.
“It’s a tremendous milestone for me and my parents, who have been there for me all these years.
“I took advantage of my opportunity this season and have loved it. I believe I’ve adapted and been a consistent performer for the Development Squad
“Next season, I hope to continue to perform well for the Development Squad while also improving in certain critical areas.
“Hopefully, I can advance to the first team, even if it’s just in training. I want to demonstrate that I can step up and manage myself.
CEO Christian Nourry stated, “Jake is a man who has advanced up the ranks at QPR at lightning speed since my arrival due to his absolutely flawless commitment to off- and on-pitch work.
“He has the makings of a model professional footballer and has more than earned the right to fight for greater things at QPR.”
