Latest News: Bradford City Star Leaves The Club; Huddersfield Town Keeper Signs New Deal
Ashley Taylor, a Bradford City defender, has left the League Two team by mutual agreement.
The veteran centre-back, who had another year on his contract, has been permitted to go after being deemed surplus to requirements by City, with the 33-year-old now free to join another team.
Taylor made 17 appearances last season, his final one coming in a 2-0 loss to Swindon Town in late January.
The former Wales junior international joined City on a two-year contract in June after rejecting down a new contract offer from Scottish Premiership club Kilmarnock, where he spent 18 months, making 53 appearances and scored seven goals.
Taylor joined in Tranmere Rovers’ youth and went on to make over 200 appearances for the Birkenhead club between 2009 and 2014.
Seasons in League One and League Two with Northampton Town were followed by two different periods in Scotland with Aberdeen, where he appeared in just under 200 games and helped the club qualify for the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League.

Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Jacob Chapman has agreed to a two-year contract extension, which would keep him at the club until at least 2026.
Five years ago, the Australian joined from Marconi Stallions in Sydney.
The 23-year-old has made two professional appearances, saving a penalty at home against Middlesbrough in December.
Town sporting director Mark Cartwright stated: “A devoted trainer, a trusted presence in the first team atmosphere, and the character to stand up when we needed him most this season, we had no difficulty in extending this contract.
“To make it as a goalkeeper at this level, especially when people question your height, you must be able to demonstrate dedication, fearlessness, and the inherent ability to instill confidence in the players around you, which Jacob possesses. We look forward to watching what he does in the next two years, since he has the ability to improve much more if he continues in his current path.
