REPORT: The New Orleans Saints have improved their offensive line by signing another top interior offensive lineman to a one-year contract.

The New Orleans Saints offensive line has always been a strength, but it has deteriorated over the last three seasons, ranking 18th in 2021, 29th in 2022, and 23rd in 2023.

The Saints’ offensive line has struggled as they have yet to locate a replacement for left tackle Terron Armstead. Trevor Penning was picked in the first round in 2022, but he has yet to pan out. Penning missed all but one game in 2022 due to turf toe and struggled in 2023, forcing him to sit out after starting the first five games. Because he struggled, Andrus Peat began at left tackle, while James Hurst started at left guard.
The offseason has not been kind to the left guard position, with Hurst retiring and Peat signing with the Raiders in free agency, leaving the position desperate for an upgrade.

Fortunately, the Saints signed an inside offensive lineman to a deal.
