Rotherham United sign a high-energy midfielder from a League One opponent, marking the club’s third close-season signing in a week.

BUSY Rotherham United boss Steve Evans has signed his third new player for the 2024-25 League One season, Northampton Town midfielder Shaun McWilliams.
The 25-year-old will complete his move when his contract with the Cobblers expires at the end of June.

McWilliams, who has spent a decade with his local club, has agreed to a two-year contract, after the signings of Portsmouth defender Joe Rafferty and Peterborough United forward Jonson Clarke-Harris.

Northampton offered McWilliams a new contract at the conclusion of his current one, which ends shortly, but he chose to join the Millers.
