The Pittsburgh Steelers have made some intriguing offensive changes this summer.

They have added significant players like as quarterback Justin Fields, gadget player Cordarrelle Patterson, wide receiver Van Jefferson, rookie receiver Roman Wilson, and several other movements.

The front office just added another running back to the room.

Pittsburgh will sign veteran running back Jonathan Ward, according to source Aaron Wilson.

Ward is now mostly an insurance and depth signing.

The former All-MAC performer was undrafted from Central Michigan in 2020.

Following that, he signed with the Arizona Cardinals, where he remained until 2022.

Later that season, he moved to the New York Jets’ practice squad before joining the Tennessee Titans.

For the most of his tenure in Tennessee, the 26-year-old running back alternated between the practice squad and the active roster before becoming a free agent again.

He is now a part of a Pittsburgh-based winning group.

Steelers supporters should not be very excited about this addition.

Ward has only made 17 career running attempts for 69 yards and 6 career receptions for 52 yards and a score.

It would be incredible if he remained with the Steelers for the full season.

Najee Harris carried for more over 1,000 yards in each of his first three seasons.

His running companion, Jaylen Warren, also had over 1,150 scrimmage yards last year.

Patterson, an experienced gadget player, adds knowledge to offensive coordinator Arthur Smith’s approach.

Ward will only fight for a roster place this year.
