Following a visit on Monday night and Tuesday morning, the Buffalo Bills refused to let former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling leave the facility. This action occurs roughly three weeks after the 2024 NFL Draft, when Buffalo selected wide receiver Keon Coleman with the first choice in the second round. The 29-year-old NC State and USF product spent the first four seasons of his career with the Green Bay Packers, who took him in the fifth round of the 2018 draft. His numbers may not wow the average fan, but his ability to stretch the field is real, as seen by his career average of 17.0 yards per reception. He almost surpassed 700 yards in 2022 with Kansas City, with 42 catches and two touchdowns — but he had a subpar year in 2023 (21-315-1), which should encourage him to produce more substantially in Buffalo.
