Latest News: Just in Texas Now Compete Immediate Signing Of Another Top Star…… As President of Texas Longhorns sends two-word message.

On the newest episode of “College Football Smothered and Covered,” SiriusXM’s Barrett Sallee made a huge prediction about Texas as the Longhorns prepare to join the Southeastern Conference.

Sallee is sure that Texas will win a conference championship in their debut season in the SEC. He feels the Longhorns have done enough to establish themselves ahead of the 2024 college football season, including a College Football Playoff berth last season

Steve Sarkisian and Arch Manning.

“Spare me the notion that Texas isn’t prepared for the SEC. “They’re built like an SEC team,” Sallee explained. “They defeated one of the behemoths of SEC football, and they advanced to the College Football Playoff. A four-team College Football Playoff, and they almost won the national semifinal with a late surge.”

Some supporters have cited head coach Steve Sarkisian’s record at Texas, although Sallee defended the fourth-year coach against the critics.

“So, sure, Sark’s record does not necessarily suggest that he is one of the best coaches in the country. But what about you? “It can take some time for head coaches to figure out who they are,” Sallee explained. “What type of coach, and what kind of person are you? In Steve Sarkisian’s situation, this is true on several levels.”

Sarkisian led the Longhorns to a 25-14 record in his first three seasons, including the program’s first College Football Playoff participation. He also guided the Longhorns to their first conference championship since 2009.

With the format extended, Texas may have an easier road to the College Football Playoff. However, it would be quite spectacular if the Longhorns could win the SEC championship in their debut season.
