Celtic Predicted XI versus Rangers, with Brendan Rodgers set to make 5 changes for the Scottish Cup Final
Celtic have the opportunity to end their season in style against Rangers in Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final at Hampden.
After winning the Scottish Premiership, the Bhoys can now complete a remarkable double and finish the season undefeated against the Ibrox side.
Despite recent derby supremacy, the Hampden battle will not be simple. Brendan Rodgers has previously stated that this game must be approached on its own terms; complacency is not an option.
Fortunately, there were no injuries to report from the Celtic camp leading up to this game, with the manager handing his players a clean bill of health.
The champions are in top form, and Rodgers may select his strongest available eleven after rotating the squad for last week’s trophy match against St Mirren.
Potential Celtic squad vs Rangers.
Joe Hart will play his farewell professional match, which will be difficult for him.
In defense, Alistair Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, and Liam Scales are all serious contenders to replace Anthony Ralston, Maik Nawrocki, and Stephen Welsh.
The latter three were given minutes last weekend, but Rodgers will return to the stable back-four that he has relied on for the duration of the season, with Greg Taylor also starting at left-back.
We should expect adjustments in attack now that Nicolas Kuhn and Luis Palma have begun vs. the Buddies. Daizen Maeda and James Forrest appear to have a great opportunity to excel at Hampden.
Maeda can be the buzz-bomb winger that keeps James Tavernier busy on Celtic’s left flank, whilst Forrest enjoys big games and can contribute on the other side.
Rangers, backed up by a midfield trio of Callum McGregor, Matt O’Riley, and Reo Hatate, will hopefully struggle to match Celtic’s intensity and skill.
Celtic, with Kyogo Furuhashi’s exceptional mobility in the center, have the proven firepower to pose severe issues for the Rangers defense throughout the game. Adam Idah will be ready from the bench to change things up if necessary in the second half.
