The No. 1 Auburn Tigers men’s golf team faced a historic chance on Wednesday when it faced the Florida State Seminoles in the Division I men’s golf national championship at the Omni La Costa Champions Course in Carlsbad, California.
And, with a 3-2 victory over Florida State, they took advantage of the chance, winning their first national title in program history.
Auburn’s freshman sensation, Jackson Koivun, scored the opening point for the Tigers by sinking a long birdie to conclude his match early with a 5&4 victory over Florida State’s Brett Roberts.
