Guard is one of Alabama Football’s primary targets. Carroll, Michael

Michael Carroll, an offensive lineman, has committed to the Alabama Football team, continuing Kalen DeBoer and his staff’s winning streak in the recruiting process. The inside offensive lineman is ranked as the second-best interior offensive lineman in the class and the 27th-best player in the nation by On3. Carroll’s pledge makes Alabama’s current roster of five top-100 recruits, joining the ranks of Derick Smith, Duke Johnson, Keelon Russell, and Lotzeir Brooks.

Kalen DeBoer and his crew have had an incredible start to the summer as they have signed three highly anticipated prospects and received crystal ball projections for Mal Waldrep and Dawson Merritt. Additionally, it seems as though the Tide are the front-runners for 2026 prospect Cederian Morgan, who got an offer following an impressive camp performance

Michael Carroll was a high priority for the staff, and they did a fantastic job getting him. He is now committed and has stopped recruiting. Despite Carroll’s Penn State heritage, the Tide defeated Georgia, Michigan, and the Nittany Lions to acquire him.

Carroll was at the top of Alabama’s want list, and the university welcomed him for the third time this past weekend, thus closing the deal. Tyler Booker, an Alabama guard, is also worthy of praise for his role in the recruiting. Carroll and Booker became friends, which was crucial for Alabama.

Watching the Skill Positions
Although this recruiting class is strong at the defensive end of the football game, there is still need for improvement at the skill positions. Running back Anthony Rogers and receiver Lotzeir Brooks have committed to the Tide, but the team will still need additional players. With a busy recruiting weekend coming up in two weeks, we should witness some significant receiving pledges since JaMarcus Shephard has been a valuable addition to the Tide.

Mal Waldrep, an Alabama football legend, has committed to the Crimson Tide, marking yet another day of commitments for Kalen DeBoer and the squad. From 1998 to 2002, Waldrep’s father was a member of the Alabama Football team, playing for Mike DuBose and Dennis Franchione. He rejected Tennessee, Florida, and Clemson in favor of the Alabama football team.

Waldrep is regarded by On3 as the 27th best player in the State of Alabama and as the 39th best interior offensive lineman in the class. Waldrep plays left tackle for the Central Red Devils, but he will probably drop to guard in college.

The new coaching staff has done a fantastic job of bringing Waldrep in. They have already held an official visit this weekend, taken him on an unofficial tour on campus, and visited Waldrep at his school once. The Tide didn’t have to go far to entice Waldrep, who has claimed to have visited Tuscaloosa hundreds of times throughout the years.

This summer, the Alabama football team has done an amazing job securing pledges following official visits. After two weekends of formal visits, Waldrep, Keelon Russell, Chuck McDonald, and Michael Carroll have all committed to the Crimson Tide. Additionally, the Tide have become favorites to sign 2026 receiver Cederian Morgan and four-star linebacker Dawson Merritt.

Largest Football in Alabama Weekends of recruiting are still to come.
In the upcoming weeks, there will be many recruiting weekends for the Alabama Crimson Tide. The decisions made after the trips may have an impact on the recruiting class’s ranking. The next several weeks are critical as the 2025 recruiting class needs improvement at wide receiver, defensive back, running back, and defensive line. The Tide have done an excellent job of positioning themselves to compete with some of these elite prospects, and they will need to continue doing so in the coming weeks.
