Non-League Title Winners Sign Departed Bradford City Man to Two-Year Deal

After leaving Bradford City, Finn Cousin-Dawson signed with Yeovil Town, the club’s official website revealed.
The defender’s contract was terminated by Bradford City at the conclusion of the previous campaign. This summer comes his Valley Parade contract’s expiration, and he’s signed a free agent contract with his new team.

The 21-year-old cousin Dawson was a regular for the League Two team at several different junior levels after moving up through the Valley Parade academy ranks. In September 2020, he made his senior debut. That same year, the Yorkshire team offered him a professional contract.

Now, as Yeovil Town gets ready to make its National League comeback under the direction of former Swindon Town manager Mark Cooper, they have revealed that he has moved down south. With the Glovers’ recent promotion from the National League South, he inked a two-year deal.

Cousin Dawson played 40 games for Bradford City’s first squad before retiring in 2022.

In order to gain experience, he was loaned out to teams like Spennymoor Town, Brighouse Town, and Blyth Spartans in recent years.

The former Northern Ireland youth international, who represented them in the Under-21 league, spent the previous season playing for the latter in the National League North, appearing in 46 games overall and contributing three goals from defense.

Yeovil Town has now been able to move in, since the Bantams decided not to extend their contract with him in spite of his outstanding performances in the sixth division.

What will Bradford City do next?
Bradford City will be looking to move up to League One in the next season. On the penultimate day of the season, they were eliminated from the play-offs.

Over the next several months, Graham Alexander, who is still in control, may be able to add a few more new members.

Not all of the players they just released were as good as Cousin-Dawson. Along with them were Dylan Youmbi, Harry Chapman, Liam Ridehalgh, Luke Hendrie, Matt Derbyshire, Noah Wadsworth, Liam Ridehalgh, Heath Richardson, Isaac Robinson, and Sam Bentley.
