Yankees Produce Startling Jasson Dominguez: Decision About His Roster Following Rehab

It’s common knowledge that Aaron Boone and the New York Yankees are one step ahead of the majority of their AL East competitors. This team has benefited from the prospect development program and takes great delight in it. Jasson Dominguez is the next major thing they are working on. Though the moment is not yet right for him, he might be the next Aaron Judge. But the team has made a significant decision about his career that affects its Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

Remaining in RailRiders company
The Yankees have reinstated Jasson Dominguez, according to MLB Network’s Jon Morossi. In order to make room for Jon Berti, this action also resulted in his placement on the 60-day IL. After his injury rehabilitation assignment, Aaron Boone and the rest of the organization have decided that the 21-year-old is now prepared to go on. He will be optioned to the RailRiders initially, despite the fact that many Yankees fans are eager for him to take Trent Grisham’s spot.

This decision may have been taken for one of two main reasons. Jasson Dominguez just had Tommy John surgery because of an elbow ligament tear. This is what prevented him from playing for the Yankees again following Aaron Boone’s call-up. They are now taking every safety measure to save his future from collapsing. Therefore, considering his condition, joining the RailRiders makes sense.

The depth of the Yankees’ hitters at the moment is another consideration. With Giancarlo Stanton, Trent Grisham, Juan Soto, Alex Verdugo, and Aaron Judge at his back, this team is being led by Aaron Judge. In the last ten games, this team has been able to assist the Yankees in putting some distance between themselves and the Baltimore Orioles. They embarked on an incredible run that resulted in eight victories and just two defeats for the team.

Given Grisham’s decline in output, Dominguez may take Grisham’s spot if he is called up for whatever reason. However, the Yankees will not benefit from it because they are still developing him. Being unable to play in the majors would undoubtedly hinder his on-field momentum and maybe cause him to break his rhythm.

Yankees led by Aaron Judge and Aaron Boone with RailRiders Jasson Dominguez

The Yankees use extreme caution when making decisions about Dominguez for a reason. Boone wants to position this club for long-term success, and a 21-year-old can definitely assist with that. During the rehabilitation process, his stats are quite promising before he is assigned to the RailRiders.

Dominguez had a.368/.415/.658 line, demonstrating good usage of the bat. All of this was produced by him during the course of 20 Triple-A games. His ease in returning after the procedure will undoubtedly cause those numbers to soar. The Yankees’ coaching staff has also been essential in his development as a hitter.

Dominguez will be called up once more very soon. When he does, he and Aaron Judge might become a regular part of the Yankees hitting lineup.
