Carlos Corberan, the West Brom manager, is linked to a young La Liga player.

Carlos Corberan, the Albion manager, is reportedly attracting interest from La Liga team Las Palmas.

This summer, Corberan has been linked to teams other than The Hawthorns; Burnley and Leicester have been mentioned, although the former are regarded to have a more compelling interest.

Additionally, Canary Islands-based Las Palmas, who placed 16th in the top division previous season, have drawn attention from Spanish daily Marca.

However, the article also states that Corberan’s long-term contract with the Baggies, which expires in 2027, may provide challenges for the Spanish team.

Unofficial discussions are reported to have taken place between Corberan and Las Palmas, but it is also reported that Corberan is unwilling to accept compensation for a manager, with Corberan’s Albion release clause estimated to be worth more than £3 million.

With players expected for preseason on June 27, Albion is not interested in considering any approaches for the head coach position and is instead preparing for the next campaign with the Spaniard.

It is acknowledged that reports that Burnley is interested in Corberan or that they have spoken with him about replacing Vincent Kompany are unfounded.

Leicester has been looking for a replacement for former Albion midfielder Enzo Maresca for a long time. In relation to the job, Corberan has received the most mentions, followed by Steve Cooper and Graham Potter.

However, it appears that negotiations with former Nottingham Forest manager Cooper have cooled off, while Potter, the head coach of Albion, and Potter are currently the front-runners for the position at the Championship champions.
