“On a dime” The recent actions of the Middlesbrough signing will amaze Michael Carrick.

The newest summer addition for Middlesbrough in 2024 is already proving his worth to Michael Carrick’s team in the next campaign.

August will see Middlesbrough continue their campaign for relegation to the Premier League under Michael Carrick’s leadership.

Since their most recent drop from the top division, Boro has been playing in the Championship.

Carrick has led the North East team to fourth and eighth place results in the second division of England thus far.

Less than a week after it officially began, the Teessiders have already been busy in the transfer market, hoping to earn promotion in 2024–2025.

Luke Ayling joined Middlesbrough permanently in the second part of 2023–24 following an outstanding loan from Leeds United.

By bringing in talented striker Delano Burgzorg from Mainz 05, a German team, Boro has further bolstered their attacking line.

Michael Carrick sees what Aidan Morris can contribute to Middlesbrough.

Another player scheduled to visit Riverside Stadium during this window is midfielder Aidan Morris of the Columbus Crew.

The 22-year-old will sign with Boro for a reported cost of around £3.14 million, according to a story published by The Athletic earlier this month.

Morris, who is still competing for Columbus Crew in the 2024 MLS season, has not yet partnered with Middlesbrough.

Early on Thursday morning, Columbus Crew and Inter Miami, led by Lionel Messi, squared off.

Despite their 2-1 defeat, Aidam Morris gave Cucho Hernandez an incredible assist in the 40th minute:

How will Middlesbrough employ Aidan Morris?

Morris’ abilities were clearly seen against Inter Miami, but it’s unclear how Michael Carrick will employ the American.

Morris is an all-around player who can play holding position, traditional central midfield, or as a more aggressive option as number ten.

Currently, Finn Azaz appears to be content to stay at number ten in Carrick’s 4-2-3-1 system, having contributed four goals and five assists in 20 appearances during the previous season.

Morris will thus probably be using his skills more extensively when he teams up with Boro in the upcoming months.

After making an impression in 2023–2024, Hayden Hackney may be leaving the Riverside this summer due to interest from the Premier League.

Dan Barlaser, a midfield player for Boro, is the target of a recent bid from Turkish team Trabzonspor.

Instead of pressing Morris higher up the field, Carrick will probably seek on him to fill the vacuum created in the deeper midfield duties.
