Carlos Corberan’s blow is anticipated by West Brom as the top management is “in talks.”
A statement regarding Burnley’s pursuit of Carlos Corberan, the manager of West Bromwich Albion, has surfaced.
Notwithstanding Corberan’s satisfaction at West Brom, Burnley is still looking for a new head coach after Vincent Kompany left for Bayern Munich.
Ruud van Nistelrooy, a former Netherlands international striker who left his coaching position at PSV Eindhoven at the end of the 2022–2023 season, has been in advanced negotiations with the Clarets. However, a development on that front may blow Burnley’s hopes, so other targets might need to be taken into account.

Van Nistelrooy has reportedly been asked by his previous team, Manchester United, to join Erik ten Hag’s revamped coaching staff, according to reputable transfer news journalist Fabrizio Romano. The 47-year-old is in charge of making the choice because Burnley is rumored to have already made an offer.
It is West Brom’s hope that van Nistelrooy chooses to accept the position at Turf Moor as opposed to Old Trafford. Last week, Belgian writer Sacha Tavolieri revealed that Corberan is one of three applicants for the Burnley position; the other two are van Nistelrooy and an unidentified candidate.
The Corberan conundrum of Burnley or West Brom might materialize shortly.
Should van Nistelrooy decline the Clarets position and the Belgian rumors be accurate, Corberan will be given careful thought as Kompany’s successor. Albion is still optimistic that the Spaniard will stay at The Hawthorns, although Burnley would represent a definite improvement.

The Lancashire team, who were just demoted from the Premier League, would probably immediately strive for automatic promotion. West Brom, on the other hand, plans to go for play-off football once more, although they have very little transfer money to achieve that goal.
