Dan Bardell has speculated that Wolves’ asking price for Max Kilman, who could have to leave this summer, might turn away West Ham United.
According to a June 21 story in The Guardian, Wolves may ask for as much as £45 million this summer for their captain, with costs denoted as “Madness.”
This assessment was conducted following the Hammers’ £25 million proposal for the Englishman, which was quickly turned down and an improved offer is currently being prepared.
Journalist Bardell from Sky Sports and talkSPORT thinks the 27-year-old would be a good acquisition, but the price will factor into the negotiation.
Bardell remarked, “Kilman is a good player, but £45m definitely seems a bit steep,” in an exclusive statement to West Ham Zone.
“He’s a player who has excelled at Wolves, where he currently serves as captain.” They need to be a team that consistently sells stars in order to compete, in my opinion, if they want to be able to acquire players this summer.
Kilman could want to collaborate with Lopetegui once more, but I don’t see West Ham paying £45 million for him. He has already worked with him.
“I can see why Wolves would want him so badly, but I don’t see West Ham going all in for him.”
United of West Ham wants Max Kilman.
Because Angelo Ogbonna left the London Stadium at the conclusion of his contract, the Hammers require a center-back alternative.
In the event that a deal materializes, Nayef Aguerd, who has also been linked to a departure this summer, could need to be replaced.
Kilman may wind up being a fantastic addition for West Ham, even though the transfer cost is undoubtedly higher than what they may be willing to pay.
Being a good player with the ball at his feet, he could be able to form a helpful tandem with Kurt Zouma.
The Englishman already has a connection between the Hammers and their target because of his collaborations with Lopetegui during his tenure at Wolves.
This could facilitate negotiations, but the possible cost will undoubtedly remain a barrier for both parties.
There is no question that Kilman would strengthen the West Ham defense if a deal could be reached this summer.
In unrelated West Ham news, the team is trying to sabotage a PSG agreement in order to get one “unbelievable” attacker.
