West Bromwich Albion have confirmed an agreement for an ex-Leeds United and Middlesbrough midfielder.
Alex Mowatt has put pen to paper on a new two-year contract at West Brom, putting an end to any speculation of a summer transfer away.

The 29-year-old, key to Carlos Corberan’s system in the number eight role, was due to leave The Hawthorns upon the expiry of his contract on June 30. But following an easy set of negotiations, the Baggies have retained Mowatt’s services for another two seasons.

“It’s been a long wait but I’m happy to get it done because I love it here. The players, all the staff around the place, I get on with everyone really well. I really enjoyed last season. It was one of my favourites during my time in football so it was a no-brainer to extend and go again this year.
