As I was sitting indoors on what had to be one of the wettest Saturdays of the year thus far, I saw some excellent news on my screen.

Following discussion of the rumors this morning of a free-transfer midfielder that was on Hatters’ radar, the Official Site verified that Shandon Baptiste, a former Brentford player, has really signed a contract to become Luton Town’s first summer addition.

Speaking about his most recent acquisition and as stated by the Official Site, Rob Edwards expressed excitement about hiring the 19-year-old, saying:Luton Town: First Summer Signing Verified

After Ross Barkley, Luke Berry, and Albert Sambi Lokongo left the team, I think Baptiste will be a great acquisition.

In May of next year, Shandon should be able to provide Luton Town with the spark and tenacity they need to achieve an immediate return to the Premier League.

Greetings from Kenilworth Road Shandon. I hope you have a pleasant and productive visit.
