Aidan Miller, the #1 prospect for the Philadelphia Phillies, has had an amazing week. The announcement on Tuesday that Miller and fellow top prospect Justin Crawford had been selected to represent the Phillies in the MLB All-Star Futures Game was wonderful news for both players. And based on the Phillies’ video of the two players hearing the news, it appears like they were both thrilled to have been chosen for this recognition.
The tournament, which takes place over All-Star weekend, features the best minor league players from each MLB team. Miller and Crawford were an obvious pick because of their impressive first halves at High-A Jersey Shore. Miller and Crawford will suit up and receive some national recognition as teammates at the Futures Game on July 13, while Phillies fans wait for them to make the much awaited move to Double-A Reading later this summer.

After hitting, the 20-year-old shortstop had solidified his case. After being a threat at the plate for Low-A Clearwater, he was just moved to High-A Jersey Shore with 240, seven home runs, 34 RBI, and 13 stolen bases. If he continues to play at this level, it’s anyone’s guess where Miller will be rated later this season.
