While Wilson’s desire to compete for his starting spot is still up in the air, Coventry Live reports that the arrival of a new goalkeeper will probably cause him to consider a permanent departure.

Wilson’s goal would probably be to start football, and with Collins wearing the number one shirt the previous season, adding another “keeper” would lessen Wilson’s chances of doing so.

Wanted for a starting role?

Collins hadn’t had a consistent starting position with a permanent club before to joining Coventry City five years ago, as was previously mentioned.

Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Collins wishes to continue playing that role in the future. His tenure with the Sky Blues has demonstrated that he is more than capable of doing so, and his personality has helped him gain favor with fans and hold a significant role in the locker room.

It wouldn’t be shocking if Championship rivals looked at bringing him through the doors if the door were to open for him to go on this summer.

Luis Binks, the well-liked loan guy, has returned from Bologna, but this time on a long-term contract. In addition, Coventry City has extended a well-earned Championship welcome to midfielder Jack Rudoni, who was brought in from Huddersfield Town after their League One relegation.

Additionally, young winger Raphael Borges Rodrigues has signed with Macarthur, an Australian team. As a long-term alternative, he will provide a fresh danger.

There will undoubtedly be more additions, but only time will tell if one of them is a new goalkeeper and, if so, how it would affect Wilson’s long-term future with the team.
