Tennessee and LSU are defeated by Auburn for a 2025 three-star offensive tackle.
Three-star interior offensive lineman Jacobe Ward committed to the Auburn Tigers on Saturday via an Instagram Live video, giving Hugh Freeze and the team its second pledge in three days.
On June 5, Ward announced his Top 3 recruits: Auburn, LSU, and Tennessee. This brought his recruitment down to three finalists. Since revealing his shortlist, Ward has visited all three of those programs; on June 7, he made his first visit to Auburn.
Ward had received thirty offers before narrowing his choice, including ones from schools in Alabama, Colorado, Kentucky, Miami, Missouri, Ohio State,
Standing at 6 feet 4 inches and 335 pounds, Ward is regarded as the 110th best recruit in Georgia and the 81st interior offensive lineman in the class of 2025 by 247Sports.
Ward began playing right tackle at Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Georgia in 2022, and he contributed to the program’s Georgia AAAA state championship. Ward participates in track and field throwing competitions as well, according to 247Sports.
With Ward’s pledge, Auburn will have 16 commitments total from their 2025 recruiting class, including five offensive linemen. The Tigers’ current group of dedicated offensive linemen includes Ward, 4-star Tavaris Dice, 3-star Broderick Shull, 3-star Spencer Dowland, and 3-star Tai Buster.
