BIG BOOST: Florida Gators Have Confirmed Another 4-Star Commit, Which Trolls The Florida Gators’ Arch-Rival

On the football field, Florida State has been dominating its bitter rivals, the Miami Hurricanes and the Florida Gators. In the previous two years, they have won the state title.

The Seminoles have demonstrated their ability to display their on-field product, even if they do not have a higher recruiting rating than any of their opponents. Over the last two seasons, Florida State has amassed a 23-4 record overall. Success makes it hard to disagree with, but football fans in Miami and Florida still can’t stop talking about how the Hurricanes ended 7-6 and the Gators finished 5-7.

It is not worth the time or effort to debate one of these initiatives with the state’s monarchs. Speaking of the Gators, they already face a challenging season in 2024, with November being particularly challenging (to put it mildly). Billy Napier, the head football coach, will be lucky if he doesn’t receive his walking papers before the end of October.

In general, the Seminoles and Hurricanes received pledges on July 4th, while the Gators did not. Worse, Peyton Joseph, a four-star interior offensive lineman commit from Warner Robins, Georgia’s Houston County High School, teased Florida with a “5-7” record joke.
Joseph received crystal ball predictions in favor of Florida State as soon as he decommitted from the Florida Gators back in April. His familiarity with offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins and his familial ties to current offensive lineman TJ Ferguson also helped.

Furthermore, there is no assurance that Florida’s coaching staff will still be in place when the 2024 season comes to a close. The fact that Joseph mentioned the 5-7 record from a year ago, when some people were claiming that the gifted offensive lineman was cut from the Gators’ recruiting class, is starting to irritate the Gators’ fan base.

Joseph said that Florida State was now his home, brushing off the troll efforts. Having him and five-star inside offensive lineman Solomon Thomas in the mix excites me much. On August 12th, the Seminoles are hoping to sign five-star offensive lineman Josh Petty.
